Metal detectors use the principal of electromagnetism. Typically the metal detector comprises a trasmitter and reciever winding and one electronic circuit which includes ac to dc rectifier , amplifier , pulse generator and a reject mechanism unit . With the help of ac to dc rectifier, the transmitter generates a magnetic field. When the electromagnetic signal is received, the receiver further transmits the signal to the electronic box. This signal gets amplified in amplifier circuit and output of the same goes to pulse generator . Pulse generator then generates a pulse from the amplified signal and transfer the same to reject mechanism unit ,reject mechanism then operates with the help of pulse which was generated by pulse generator.
Reject mechanism will be designed as per costumer requirement and also depend on the product type.
